WOW!!! Ain't God good? If you go back a couple of posts and look at what this garden looked like when we first put it in and compare that to now, you'll see an amazing transformation. We had grandparents that had farms, so we never really got to experience the transformation of seed or seedling to flowering-fruiting plants. We have harvested lots of herbs, swiss chard, strawberries and bannana peppers. And as you will see in the following pics, our corn, jalepeno, tomato, bell pepper, suash and cucumber plants are growing nicely and the fruits of their and our labor are tasting GREAT! See for yourself:
| The corn stalks you see in the foreground of the box has been at the tassel stage for a couple of weeks now. And you'll notice Hank standing guard there to the right. |
| Crooked Neck Squash. There about six total so far betwen 2 & 5 inches. We did cut one up on Memorial Day and put it into a salad, lets just say Jacks ate 75% of it so it was quality. |
| Big Boy Tomatoes! They are starting to turn yellow so I'll probably snip em off and put them in a bag or the window to ripen. |
| Here comes the corn silk |
| If you look in the center of this pic and just left of bottom center, you'll see our Boston Pickling Cucumbers. All we need is a big mason jar! |
Green Bell Pepper starting to turn yellow and will eventually be orange, too bad there is only one on this plant. Hopefully there'll be more than one or else, we'll have to plant another.

We just planted some string beans & cilantro from seed so we'll see how they grow as the season progresses. So far the string beans that were planted at the beginning have produced a whopping 4 beans! Until next time... HL
The garden looks great. We are just doing some herbs and some beans this summer, but your garden looks so good, I'm inspired!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah. What kind of beans are you doing? My string beans have been disappointing so far, but there is the rest of the summer for them to catch up with the rest of the veggies!
